AI trading software for beginners: what to look for
Short answer: As a beginner, pick software that lets you learn without risking money. That means demo money first, rules in plain words, limits you set yourself, every trade explained and the costs counted. Be wary of any tool that promises returns. Six checks below tell you which is which.

1. Demo money first
You should be able to watch the software trade before a cent of yours is at risk. If it only works with a live account, it is asking you to learn with real money. See how to test a trading bot before using real money.
2. Rules in plain words
You should be able to say what it does in a sentence: for example, "it follows the trend on gold and stops when it is wrong." If the answer is "the AI decides," keep looking.
3. Limits you set
A stop on every trade, a loss limit per trade and per day, and a pause around big news. Software that lets you skip these will let you lose a month in an afternoon. See how much to risk per trade.
4. Every trade explained
A log that shows each trade and the reason for it is how you learn. Without it you only see wins and losses and never why.
5. Costs counted
Spread, commission and swap come out of every trade. Tests that leave them out look better than real trading. See gold spread explained.
6. No promises
No promised return, no countdown, no "limited copies," and no results you cannot check. See how to choose an AI trading bot for the full checklist.
Learn the basics alongside it
Software follows rules, so you still need to know what they mean. Start with what is XAUUSD, lot size and drawdown, or follow the start path on the guides page.
Try one on demo money
On the Baroq front page you pick a market and a style and watch a paper agent replay the last ten days of real prices, with the spread paid on every fill. A replay of the past is not a promise, but you see every trade and why it was taken. Build your own on the AI agents page: agents trade demo money only, and live trading is coming soon.
The Monthly Pass and the Lifetime Pass are software licences for your own MetaTrader account. They score every robot and strategy you run the same way, with costs inside every number. See the plans.
FAQ
What is the best AI trading software for beginners?
The best one for a beginner is the one that lets you learn without risking money: demo money first, rules in plain words, limits you set yourself, every trade explained and costs counted. Be wary of any that promise returns.
Can a beginner use AI trading software?
Yes, if it needs no code and shows why it trades. A beginner still has to learn the basics of risk, stops and costs, because the software only follows the rules you give it.
Do I need coding skills for AI trading software?
Not for modern tools. You can describe a style in a sentence or move a few sliders. You should still be able to read every trade it takes.
How much money do I need to start?
Nothing to learn. Start on demo money. If you go live later, begin at a size you would shrug off.
What are the warning signs of bad AI trading software?
Promised monthly returns, countdown timers, only winning months shown, no costs in the tests, no way to see the rules and no refund.
Where can I try an AI trading agent as a beginner?
On the Baroq front page you pick a market and a style and watch a paper agent replay the last ten days of real prices with the spread paid. Baroq agents trade demo money only, and live trading is coming soon.
